Happy Birthday MaryAlice!

My baby turned One-year-old yesterday!!  That was the fastest year I think I've ever remembered.  We were able to go to SLC and have a big birthday party with my family.  We actually decided to have a big "March Birthday" party.  Because there are quite a few birthday's in March. (9 to be exact!) So, we had a big cake and sang happy birthday to everyone at my Grandma Harmon's house.  The party also happened to be ON MaryAlice's birthday.

This is MaryAlice and her cousin, Cade.  (Brandon and Lisa's boy).  MaryAlice is 7 weeks older than Cade. . . you'd never guess that right?!? MaryAlice is so petite, and Cade is such a brute.  They're cute together.

I was excited to see MaryAlice have her first cake experience.  It's always a fun part of the "1st birthday" experience.  With Alma, he liked it, and got messy.  With Lili, she didn't like being messy, so she was quite picky.

But good old MaryAlice. . . she sure knows how to have fun!

Lamoni had her sitting on the edge of the table getting ready to light the candles and sing, well. . . she's quite flexible and quick-as-can-be she reached forward and grabbed a handful of frosting from the corner of the cake.  So, she got her first taste before the song was even sung.

see the trail of frosting. . . .         she's enjoying her first bite. . . .

she then wanted more.  again, this was all before the candles were light and the song was sung. .

Okay, now she has her plate.  We didn't have a high-chair, so we just let her sit on the table.

First little pinch-of-a-taste. . . hmmmm, this is GOOD!!!

I like this!!                  DIG IN!!!!!!!

Yum, where did all the frosting go?     Mmmm, my mouth needs to be bigger!

Okay, two hands. . . now that's better!

Queen of the table.                 Stealing off other people's plates!

I can't wait to do this again!

THE END!
