Crazy Weekend

So, this weekend has been a bit crazy and scary.  To sum it all up, on Saturday I went to the Urgent Care for a sinus infection, and came out fearing for my life.

Apparently my blood pressure is so high, I should be having a stroke or seizure any day now.  I knew it's been high ever since Luke was born, but I never "memorized" my numbers.  I just knew my ob/gyn kept telling me it was high.  Well, when I went to the Urgent Care on Saturday for a sinus infection, they were pretty worried about my blood pressure.  Just for your information, it was 163/110.  They urged me to have my doctor evaluate this immediately.  So, Monday I went to see my ob/gyn (because they had all the records of my bp) and he wrote me a note to go over to the clinic to be seen TODAY by any doctor.  (My bp was 167/119).  I was able to get in and see a Nurse Practitioner and she was great.  They have me on some medication and hopefully it will start to help.  I'm still a bit scared for the next week or so about my health.  We've reminded the kids about how to call 911 and such.  Crazy stuff - I'm only 30!

So, all of this happening yesterday made for a bummer of a Valentines day. . . so, we decided to celebrate it today.  I have a feeling Lamoni was in favor of this seeing he didn't "prepare" anything for Valentines on Monday.  He's working nights now, so I only saw him for 30 minutes yesterday before he went to work.

He was wonderful this morning as he walked into our house fresh off his 12 hour night shift, with 2 bouquets of flowers, 3 sacks of valentines stuff from Walmart (all 50% off - the best part!) and breakfast from McDonalds! He's so wonderful!

Happy Valentines day to everyone!

Have you had your Thyroid checked lately? Tat is one of the first signs of a hyper thyroid.

Yes Laurel, they ordered a bunch of blood work, and that was one of the tests. . . we'll see in a few weeks when I go back.
