Last time I was in Lake Point visiting my Mom and Dad, I caught up with one of my Best Friends Kristi, and she taught me how to Knit in the round! I was so excited! So, we thumbed through my book, and found a super easy hat that I could make. Kristi is a very good teacher and we had fun. She taught me the importance of making a gauge first. (Stupid gauge - I never make a gauge, it's a waste of time) but now I know how important it is, so I guess I'll humble down and make a gauge before each project.
I did get stuck towards the end when I needed to switch to double ended needles, but thanks to YouTube, I succeeded! You know, I used to think YouTube was just a bunch of stupid videos, but there are some really educational how-to- videos there!
So, here is my first hat - what do you think? I say "first" because I really enjoyed the process, and will continue to learn in the new world of knitting. Thanks Kristi!
