Dead Fish Hat

Okay, I know I'm a bit crazy, but for my "second" hat/project I wanted to knit this super funny hat.  I liked knitting my first hat, but for my next project I wanted something a bit more fun.  (other than just knitting the same stitch in the round and around and around. . . . ) So, I found this cute pattern for a "Dead fish hat".

Now, let me explain the #1 reason for deciding to knit this hat.  When my family drew names for Christmas, I drew two of my brothers.  I planned on making both of them my signature "Striped Night Cap" as seen below. . .(it's crochet)

I ran out of time to make both hats, and only one brother got a striped hat.  So, I was planning on making another striped hat, until I came across this pattern.  My brother who is getting this prized hat is the real out-doorsy kind of guy.  He likes to fish, hunt, all of the above.  So, I thought he really needs a Fish hat to take on his adventures!  Don't ya think?!?!  So, Toby, I don't know if you check my blog regularly or not, but this ones for you!  I love you!! (you can thank me later!)

I will wear that hat with pride. Fishing, hunting, to work. Just try and get it off my head. I can't wait!
